Lightways (Contractors) Limited is a family run business with over 40 years of experience in streetlighting, surfacing and reinstatement.
We currently have a requirement for HIAB Drivers and are looking to recruit a number of versatile employees who can multitask and carry out a number of different duties in connection with street lighting installation.
We have opportunities for employees based from our Larbert head office.
Wages will be dependent on experience.
What will this role involve?
- Maintain high technical standards
- Attend project and work briefings as required
- Drive/operate vehicles/plant requiring general and specialist skills
- Undertake all aspects of highway maintenance works and street lighting installation
- Carry out vehicle checks prior to shift starting, correctly filling in defect books
- Record Driver Hours
- Follow Lightways’ Health & Safety policy by ensuring yourself, others and the working environments are safe
Schedule:
- 9 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime and weekend working is available
What are we looking for?
- Driving Licence (essential)
- HGV Licence (essential)
- Valid Lorry Loader certificate with preferably hook attachment experience
- Experience in civils/masonry, surfacing (patching), or streetlighting installation on the roads network is preferred
- Be self-motivated and have a positive attitude
- Be willing to learn and develop new skills
- Traffic Management experience and CSCS certification would be a distinct advantage, but not essential
