ISO 9001:2000

The standard addresses best practice in the application of quality management systems. Is based around the principles of customer satisfaction, continual improvement and the development of a process based Quality Management System (QMS).

A QMS incorporates those elements of an organisation’s management system that direct and control it with regard to quality.

ISO9001 : 2000 specifies that a company must have a quality policy that documents the organisations overall intentions and direction as formally expressed by top management.

Such a quality policy will include a commitment to comply with the ISO 9001 : 2000, to continuously improve the QMS and to set and monitor measurable quality objectives

CHAS Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme

Supported by the HSE (Health & Safety Executive) the scheme is available to public and private sector organisations when they are shortlisting contractors, suppliers and consultants who apply to work for them. CHAS provides information about the Health & Safety part of an application.

Companies apply to join the scheme to gain recognition that they meet acceptable standards of health and safety compliance.
